Opportunities

Office Support
The center is always looking for volunteers to provide office support by answering the phones, greeting participants who come to the center, faxing, and copying. Basic computer knowledge is helpful, but not required. Assistance is needed Monday through Friday from 9:00 am 5:00 pm. Opportunities are flexible and available on a rotating schedule

Girl's Programs
Are you interested in assisting with group activities, making simple crafts and chaperoning field trips? Girl's Journey (ages 8-12) meets after school Monday through Thursday 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Volunteers assist with group activities and discussions.

Girl's Night In
Volunteers will participate in workshops for girls ages 13-18, assisting in developing life skills related to issues they deal with as teenagers. Past topics include positive body image, conflict resolution and employment readiness. The girls meet the first Thursday of each month from 6:00 - 8:30p.m.

Piecemakers
Do you quilt, crochet, or knit? Come join the Piecemakers! This dynamic group of women makes quilts and sews items for various community needs. We meet Friday from 2-4p.m.

Seminar & Workshop Presenters
Do you have a special skill or professional experience that you would like to share with women or girls? We are seeking individuals to present seminars or workshops. Examples include stress management, budgeting, exercise classes such as Zumba or yoga, study skills, resume writing, computer skills and technology. The sky is the limit; contact us if you have a topic of interest.

Professional Opportunities
Do you have professional skills in marketing, finance, fundraising, event planning, or photography? The Women's Connection is seeking professionals who are willing to donate such skills to our organization. We also have opportunities to be a part of various board committees.
